About us:
From 1st April 2022 EHRR is a civilian range. We aim to work with the whole gamut of users to deliver a safe, friendly, value range.

Over winter 2021/22 a planning application was submitted by the MoD to undertake a programme of building works to upgrade East Holme Rifle Range. That application was withdrawn in April, and anybody with an interest may be wondering what happens next.
The Rifle Range is part of the Holme Estate and the MoD lease of the Range expired at the end of March 2022. The lease has not been renewed, and that is why the MoD planning application has been withdrawn.
Although the range has been run by the military for many years, it has also served as a facility for civilian users. Without the military, it will continue to be run as a civilian range only and none of the military metrication works will be required.
This change in operator will mean that the range use will continue pretty much as before. Specific topics likely to be of interest to the wider community are:

1. Safety. Please see Range Standing orders and Range Regulations. Our safety regulations are exceptionally strict so please check our restrictions or contact us if in doubt.
2. Weapons. No rifles will be stored at the range. 
3. Use. 
   1. Standard firing will be limited to 9.30 am - 17.00 pm. 
   2. Some individual shooting (e.g. deer stalkers truing their sights) may be continued later. 
   3. There will be no night firing.
   4. There will be no use of automatic weapons.
