Range cleared for Small Bore and subsonic
Close range shooting into the mantlet and manual target marking are now options (subject to their own procedures)
Moderators Not required
Still encouraged wherever possible and may be required on specific sessions at which will be noted at booking, particularly zeroing sessions for stalkers and Sunday/Bank Holiday sessions.
Target Gallery Cleared for use
Old Fashioned marking is now an option for club hires. (bring your own Butts Party) a version of the Mc queen castle is being developed to fit our target systems.
Morning start time change
Whilst The Briefing still begins at 0900 firing doesn't begin until 0930. all other times through the day have moved back so no firing time is reduced.
Open sight Targetry
The East Holme Tin hat follows the same scoring dimensions as an ICFRA or NRA standard target face to integrate with our target systems.

Many Thanks to The NRA for the recent safety assurance visit. Whilst there is no formal association between EHRR and the NRA the assistance and guidance provided has been invaluable.
East Holme Rifle Range
About us:
From 2022 EHRR has been a primarily civilian range run by a group of volunteers for the shooting community. We aim to work with the whole gamut of users to deliver a safe, friendly, value range.
This change in operator will mean that the range use will continue pretty much as before. Specific topics likely to be of interest to the wider community are:
- Safety. Please see Range Standing orders and Range Regulations. Our safety regulations are exceptionally strict so please check our restrictions or contact us if in doubt.
- Weapons. No rifles will be stored at the range.
- Use.
- Standard firing will be limited to 9.30 am - 17.00 pm.
- Some individual shooting (e.g. deer stalkers truing their sights) may be continued later.
- There will be no night firing by civilian users.
- There will be no use of automatic weapons by non MoD, police or defence users.
